  • B. Tech in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate engineering programme which aims to provide technically competent graduates with professional ethics to serve the society and to promote research in the field of Civil Engineering. Being one of the oldest and evergreen discipline, it provides the best opportunity for those who want to build their career in this booming construction industry and serve the nation at large. During the four year tenure, along with their academic curriculum, the programme aims to expose students to the practical aspects of Civil Engineering where they will be involved in field visits as well as workshops and training sessions to enhance their technical proficiency so that they can confidently face the world of work.
  • The department strives to be in sync with the latest pedagogical innovation by inviting industry experts to make learning experience for students more engaging. Involvement of students in summer & winter internships play a major contribution in developing their confidence and hands on exposure at the field. This also enhances their skills to perform great in the placement activity. Students are exposed to the industry environment from one week to six months. They undergo training in reputed companies like Larsen and Toubro, ONGC, J Kumar among others.
  • Special emphasis is given on latest technologies like Building Information Modelling, Application of Drones in Civil Engineering and 3D Printing. Our major recruiters like; Nirmex, Hi Tech Projects, P. Vora Structures, Virtual Building Studios, Neptune Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Virat Group, Beaver Engineering, Tuv South Asia Pvt. Ltd., Cimec Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Sanghi Industries Ltd. and many more are the regulars at our campus.

Program Outcomes (POs)
  • PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • PO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • PO5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • PO6 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • PO7 Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
  • PSO1: The ability to analyze and design various civil engineering structures such as buildings, roads, bridges, hydraulic structures and industrial structures using appropriate codes of practice.
  • PSO2: Demonstrate proficiency in selecting and testing construction materials, Soil investigations, surveying techniques and understanding their properties, and implementing appropriate construction methodology and management.
