The course focuses on the methodical study of the production, distribution, conservation, and allocation of resources in society, together with the organizational frameworks related to the reprocesses.

The B.A. Economics curriculum offers a rigorous basis for much of the advanced thinking in the Economics discipline. It provides the student with a logical paradigm for conceptualizing and interpreting the behavior and interactions of households, firms, and government institutions.

The curriculum allows students to choose elective courses from a set of courses with contemporary relevance, thereby offering students the flexibility to prepare for careers in academia, law, management, journalism, government, and many other fields. The programme is consistent with global standards in the Economics discipline. It offers training comparable to that of an undergraduate student at the world’s best universities.

Specifically, it includes microeconomics and macroeconomics, econometrics, statistics, history of economics, political economy, Indian economic, international economics, development economy, etc.

Solve basic microeconomic problems. Be able to think about several policy questions relevant to the operation of the real economy. Learn mathematical techniques and methods used in academics, research, and Industry. Students will learn to become more logical in making or refuting arguments. Understand the different market structure and theoretical mechanisms behind the working of markets.

  • PEO1: Graduates be able to interpret the information from economic perspective. Hence will be an effective economic analysts, who could successfully complete a credential test.
  • PEO2: Graduates be able to assess situation and identify main economic problems and demonstrate an ability to offer alternative solution to problems. This will enhance critical thinking skills.
  • PEO3: Graduates be able to demonstrate their proficiency and skills necessary to attract the potential employers in the field of banking sector, insurance companies, marketing field and also in the field of teaching.
