  • B. Tech Information Technology is an undergraduate engineering course which focuses on expanding and growing in terms of dissemination of knowledge within and outside curriculum and skill development activities. In recent times and the years to come there will be increasing demand of skilled manpower in the domain of Information Technology. Apart from the basic subjects, this course prepares young professionals to acquire essential knowledge about technological skills that allow them to independently conceptualize, design, develop and implement computer applications fulfilling the software demand in the world.
  • The Department of Information Technology is likewise outfitted with devoted laboratories for Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Apple Lab, and Cyber Security with higher arranged workstations. Silver Oak University is also having one of the most progressive training and placement cells of the region. As a result we have an enormous pool of IT giants like Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Byjus, Uber, Vodafone, Paytm, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Capgemini, Zeus Learning, Jaro Education, Toppr, Collabera and so on.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in learner centric activities and develop innovative mindset through experiential learning by exposing them to training in cognitive skills headed by leading experts.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
  • PEO1: To provide fundamental knowledge of science and engineering for an IT professional and to equip them with proficiency of mathematical foundations and algorithmic principles and inculcate competent problem-solving ability.
  • PEO2: To implant ability in creativity & design of IT systems and transmit knowledge and skills to analyze, design, test and implement various software applications.
  • PEO3: To exhibit leadership capability, triggering social and economical commitment and inculcate community services.
  • PEO4: To inculcate professional-social ethics, teamwork in students and acquaint them with requisite technical and managerial skills to attain a successful career.

Program Outcomes (POs)
  • PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • PO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • PO5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • PO6 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • PO7 Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
